RESOLVING DISPUTES

1. Disputes with other guild members should first be attempted to be resolved privately by the people involved. If this isn't possible, the matter should be referred to an officer.

2. Disputes with members of other guilds should also be referred to a BoL officer if they cannot be resolved privately. Try to avoid arguing publicly with members of other established guilds. Take your complaint to one of our officers instead. Do NOT contact the officers of the other guild(s) directly; our officers will do that on your behalf if necessary.

3. Guild chat should never be used for resolving significant disputes. Use private whispers or party chat instead. The use of guild chat in this manner constitutes drama, and will not be tolerated.

4. Regardless of the nature of a dispute, it is important that everyone remain civil and respectful. Using demeaning language during a dispute will result in much larger problems for all involved.

5. Remember that time is almost always your friend during a WoW dispute. When in doubt, hold your tongue and take time to think through the situation before responding or seeking help from an officer. In the heat of the moment, the issues may seem clear-cut, however if you take time to calm down and consider the issue from all points of view, the real source of the dispute may become clearer.

DISCIPLINE

1. Guild members that violate any guild policy may be disciplined by an officer or the guild leader.

2. Initiates who violate any guild policy will be removed from the guild. Initiates need to be on their best behavior at all times in order to become full-time members.

3. All disciplinary decisions are final. Pestering an officer about a disciplinary action may result in more disciplinary action against you.

4. Several types of disciplinary actions may be taken depending on the nature of the offense including:
a) An official warning
b) Loss of priority for future raid participation
c) Demotion in rank
d) Removal from the guild

5. We expect that minor disciplinary actions will be very rare. If someone is repeatedly violating guild policies, he or she will be removed from the guild.
